Great insvestments for our Masardis mill in Maine

Interviewed by The County back in February, our mill manager in Masardis, ME, Nate Whitney had exciting news for the 140-plus team working there. Explaining how Maibec - which is a contraction of "Maine" and "Quebec" if you didn't know - was planning to expand he said: "We’re really trying to create a mill that’s going to see the next generation of sawmillers" confirming that Maibec was here to stay. Several millions will be invested in modernization of the facilities in order to expand it by 50 percent over the next 5 years.
"We have our plates full for projects in 2018, 2019 and 2020," Whitney said.
